Presque Isle State Park is one of 121 state parks within the state of Pennsylvania and is a National Natural Landmark for about four million visitors each year. Presque Isle offers visitors a beautiful, sandy coastline and many recreational activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling, and in-line skating.
Whether you come to enjoy the sandy beaches, study ecological diversity, or learn about the historical significance of the peninsula, there is something for everyone at Presque Isle State Park.
Tom Ridge Environmental Center
Begin your Presque Isle adventure by stopping in The Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Erie Visitor Center. The Tom Ridge Environmental Center is the gateway to Presque Isle State Park and the gateway to discovery. Our 65,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, green-designed facility encourages visitors to discover Presque Isle State Park and the many different forms of life that inhabit the Peninsula. The Tom Ridge Environmental Center is open from 8am – 4pm daily. The Presque Isle State Park Office is open from 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
Presque Isle Gallery and Gifts is open Tuesday though Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm. For information contact 814-841-1567.
The Sunset Café, and the Big Green Screen Theatre will remain closed until further notice.

Beaches 7 and 11 at Presque Isle feature ADA-accessible mats to the beach. Beach 8 has a mat that provides access to the water's edge. Beach wheelchairs are available to rent free of charge at Beach 8 at the Public Safety Building on a first-come, first-served basis (with proof of I.D.). The wheelchairs are offered during the regular swimming season from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 11 a.m. to 7 pm., and have a weight capacity of 350 lbs. The 13.5-mile Karl Boyes Multi-Purpose Trail is wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs, and ADA-accessible fishing piers are located at the Rotary Pavilion, East Pier, West Pier and North Pier locations.Â
